"Our reception was, for lack of a better word, perfect! The Akron German Family Society was so wonderful to work with. From getting in the day before to decorate the hall, to all the homemade food options, hall layout and excellent bar service. Everything went smoothly at our reception and all our guests told us for weeks after our wedding how much fun they had.
If you're looking for a place that is values quality for a reasonable price, this is the place for you. After looking around at dozens of venues that could accommodate over 300 guests, we couldn't help but be drawn to the Akron German Family Society. This local heritage organization is a volunteer driven organization and it shows in the right way. They ensure that you get to set up the hall to your liking, offer so many different food and bar options and support your big day from start to finish. "I held my wedding at GFS and it was amazing! Guests are still raving to me and my husband about the amazing food...The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. I had an outdoor ceremony under the pavilion and the fountain and pond in the background were perfect. I highly recommend this place as a wedding venue, and also their festivals are tons of fun, too!"

"The German Family Society was the perfect venue for our Roaring 20's party! The charm of the heritage facility made the whole evening more special. The GFS is spacious and was accommodating for a group of our size, but easily could have held many more. The large dance floor allowed for over 40 swing dancers. We danced the whole night away. The volunteers were professional and kind, and the bartenders even dressed up with us! Our friends keep asking when we are going back!" - Aaron E.
