Our Groups & Clubs

At the German Family Society, our non-profit organization is made up of many different people of all ages and interests. 

The heart of our club is certainly our ladies auxiliary group, call the Frauengruppe or Frauenschaft. These women volunteer for every event and festival by donating their time and skills in our kitchen. Their tried and true recipes for handmade, delicious German food have been loved by many of our members and guests for generations. 

Today we have 4 dance groups: a Kingergruppe "Children's group" ages 4 to 9, a Jr. Jugendgruppe"Junior Youth group" ages 9 to 14, a Jugendgruppe "Youth Group" ages 15 to 25, and and adult Tanzgruppe "Dance Group" ages 25 and older. Each of our dance groups performs at various events and festivals throughout the year. Some of our members have grown up through each of the dance groups, and continue to dance or volunteer for our club in other ways today. No matter what age they started dancing, each group shares a love for polka, costume and socializing with life-long friends. 

Our club is very proud of our soccer organization that has been home to many players, coaches, and managers throughout the years, who have helped us win many trophies including seven National Donauschwaben championships, and three-times runners up.
