Classy dresses, jumpsuits, pantsuits, dressy shorts with a blouse are the typical attire for ladies, accompanied by the key fashion staple: a big hat.
A typical hat is wide-brimmed with feather, lace or other embellishments. Alternatively, a woman can wear a "fascinator hat" which is a formal piece of headwear with a large, decorative design attached to the head by a band or clip.
Clothing color is typically very colorful in pastels of pinks and blues or vibrant reds and gemstone hues. Often, you will see dressed with floral patterns, ruffles, or extravagant details.
Shoes are typically heels in a complementary color, or strappy formal sandals. Choose something with a bow or flare to match your big hat.
Gentlemen are typically dressed in formal to casual suits in tones of blues, khaki or plaid. For the more daring, you can see vibrant pops of color or patterned fabric. For a more subtle way, use a pocket square. Either way, every ensemble is accompanied by two key players: A bowtie and a hat.
The classic hat is a boater, or a flat-brimmed straw-like material with a band of fabric circling the top.
The other star player is the classic bowtie. Add a pop of color or floral pattern to complement your suit.
Shoes should be formal style, leather-looking or smart. Think what your wife would prefer you to wear for a nice spring wedding.
